Back to work…

Greetings my fellow history buffs,

Tis’ true I took a slightly impromptu hiatus, but fear not for I do still fully intend on continuing my ongoing tirade of historical fallacies in this comedy of errors.

"Independence Day" scene when computer virus was uploaded to the alien mother ship...

Turns out even alien mother ships are susceptible to 90’s malware.

There have been many rumors circulating as to what I’ve been up to… so like a kid with various homework-eating-pets, I could say that I was busy saving the world with my mad hacking skills from a beat-up laptop at a Starbucks in Tokyo while evading Yakuza ninjas trained by the League of Shadows, or that I’ve been fighting my way through an army of trolls in a dragon’s den, rescuing the Cookie Monster from the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man with my double-bladed light-saber, but the truth is (almost) equally badass…

When I say I’ve been busy with work and school this semester, I may have forgotten to mention that I’ve been taking FIVE classes and working 30+ hours a week, in addition to revising my resume for a potential paid internship, collaborating on the FSCJ Digital Media blog, running the sound system at BBUUC, helping out at the comic book store, AND creating content for SuperHeroBeach.com (which you should totally check out btw)

So just to recap… This past week alone I: worked on modeling and texturing a 3D enivornment for a (Zelda-themed) digital still life piece, wrapped up a series of typographical designs for nerdy-themed mix drink recipes (which I concocted myself), collaborated on editing a student film, helped bounce a rap song in a recording studio, AND created a fully playable demo of a video game!* (click here for my latest digital art projects!)

*yes that’s right a game ‘Space Sharks: The Game!’ in fact is actually happening and coming soon to a mobile app near you… if all goes according to plan…

Drops Mic, Walks off Stage

If only I was getting paid to be this awesome…
Nope, instead I’m a broke blogging barista who worries about paying the bills.

Now that the semester’s over I’m heading on a much needed vacation, but when I get back I fully intend to wrap up The Golden Age of Piracy – Part 2.

Stay tuned!
