Epik Fails - web series

Not too bad considering we slapped it together in under two weeks for class 😀 Hoping to go back and re-dub some stuff with better voice actors than myself when I get a chance. Also, never got around to fully rendering the opening segment, hoping to have that fixed for the next episode. We literally filmed everything in less than 4 hours!

Once again, I’d like to give a huge shout out to Mel Buck, who filmed and directed in addition to writing up the ‘How to be a Pirate skit’ on short notice, and Devon Seymour who hosted and brought some life and energy to our debut episode. I’d also like to thank Shawn Morse for providing his pirate outfit, all the creators behind the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, and my wife for putting up with my stressed out self.

This episode is based on “The Golden Age of Piracy” articles that I wrote last year.

We’re looking at covering The Roman Empire next, followed by The Dark Ages, and then some East-Asian history that’s often left out of history text books. Since we have more time to work with for the following three episodes of this prototype of a mini-series, we’re now able to schedule more people to help out.

I’m actually scripting the rest of the series now…

(If there’s enough interest, we may end up starting a Kickstarter to do a full-on series.)

Up for any and all suggestions!
