The War of … Jenkins’ Ear?!

August 18, 2014So for those of you who don’t already know, earlier this year I got an invite to apply to do a TED talk for the local TEDx JAX event in October! (Apparently someone discovered my blog, and passed it along to the right people.) Long story short I’ve spent the last several months (between work, college, and other commitments) putting together a potential presentation as part of the application process. (which is also my excuse for not posting on here more frequently!)
For those of you who are unaware, TED (which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design) is a series of insightful lectures from various people in a wide range of fields, from science and education to fine arts and motivational speaking.
The following is the presentation I gave in front of a real life live studio audience as part of the application process:

A very special thanks to BBUUC (The Buckman Bridge Unitarian Universalist Church) for hosting the event and to Justin Ache for filming and editing!

This is great stuff! It’s very nice to see a(n actual) voice to your blog! You should have been my history teacher!;)
I hope TED will agree with me. Regardless, this was a very interesting and entertaining video. Best of luck, but do go on with what you’re doing!
[…] Update: Although my presentation (HISTORIC FAILURES – that we should’ve learned from by now) didn’t make it into TEDx Jacksonville, I’m extremely grateful for the acknowledgement […]
